How to get the most out of iWhy

The iWhy app was created on the tried and true foundations of a timeless practice called Jnana yoga. Jnana yoga is the yoga of discrimination and of self inquiry. Various more formal definitions can be found in Wikipedia Jnana.

Jnana yoga can transform your life in just a few minutes a day and what is so amazing about it is that it's within your reach at any time. You don't need to spend money to use it, you don't need to go anywhere and you don't need the help of an expert. Though many expert psychologists and psychiatrists have used Jnana Yoga as a basis for their practice Practical Yoga Psychology. There are many wonderful forms of it available. My first formal introduction to it was through Byron Katie - The Work.
For a more classical take you might venture into Shankara's The Crest Jewel of Discrimination.

So how can you get the most out of a simple tool like the iWhy in your jnana yoga pursuit?
1. First try to find a quiet space where you can use it for 5 minutes or more without being interrupted.
2. Close your eyes for a minute and try to isolate the thing that is bothering you. Really feel the emotion in your body.
3. Go to your app and answer the First Question: What's On Your Mind? Remeber this is just for you so there's no right or wrong answers.
4. Answer the next question and the next.. try not to skip any, even though they may seem irrelevant. Sometimes things will arise as you are writing that you had never expected. That's when you know you're getting somewhere.
5. This is the most important part: you probably can't change other people and sometimes you can't change a circumstance, maybe not immediately. The success comes when you can change your thoughts about something so that it's no longer that thing. The person that was annoying you is now someone needing your compassion, something you didn't like or accept about yourself is now the thing you love the most! It's totally possible because it's all in the one place you have control, your mind.

So.. in conclusion iWhyApp is like an FAQ for your soul, and you have ALL the answers.
